Policies for Tuition & Refund

Tuition Collection

AGA Academy follows the requirements for tuition collection set out by the Private Career Colleges Act.  To ensure that you are safe when applying to any Institution as an International Student, you should first check for the following:

  • research the private career college you plan to attend

  • see if the program aligns with your career goals

  • will completing the program help build credentials toward your future career

  • what are your rights and responsibilities as a student with the institution

  • is the program eligible for student funding

All our tuition costs are accessible to all potential students and can be viewed here

For potential students in Canada, you may be eligible to apply for Student Aid Funding.  After you fill out the registration form and submit it to AGA Academy, a representative will reach out to you to provide assistance and walk you through the Student Aid application process.

Tuition Refunds

The following refunds of tuition are applicable after training begins:

Private Vocational Training Regulation - Section 17

nated after the vocational training begins, the licensee is entitled to the following amounts of tuition fees:

i) when 10% or less of the vocational training has been provided, 25% of the tuition fees;

ii) when more than 10% or less of the vocational training has been provided, 25% of the tuition fees;

(iii) when more than 50% of the vocational training has been provided, 100% of the tuition fees.

(2) If the institution has received tuition fees in excess of the amount that the licensee is entitled to under subsection (1), the institution must refund the excess amount.

Should the student require a refund of tuition, they must email finance@aga-academy.ca

Payment of Refunds

Upon receiving the notice from the student that they are willing to withdraw or provide the institution a copy of the withdrawal form, all monies that have been paid (by the student or sponsor) will be refunded back to the student no later than 30 days from the day the student contract is terminated

All Tuition costs are calculated in Canadian Dollars (CAD).

Withdrawals

The above tuition refunds apply to all withdrawals

If a student contract is terminated after the vocational training begins, the Institution is entitled to the tuition refunds stated above.

There are 3 ways a student will be considered withdrawn:

a) 3 Consecutive unexcused absences, withdrawal by Academia - Students must attend classes on a regular basis.  Should the student not attend 3 consecutive classes without notifying their instructor or their facilitator, that student is deemed academically inactive. Their status must be reported to Student Aid or IRCC (Immigration & Refugee Citizenship Canada - for International students).  Should a report be made that the student is no longer attending classes, it may affect the status of their student loan or their student visa with IRCC.

b) Withdrawal by student - Should the student decide to terminate their contract with the Institution of their own volition, for whatever reason, a Withdrawal Form needs to be filled out and signed by the student.  Download & fill out the document below and send it to studentsupport@aga-academy.ca.
